Provisioning Specialist, Maritime Systems - TEST - TEST

We are seeking a qualified Provisioning Specialist to support naval navigation and sensor systems for our client.

Position Summary

The Provisioning Specialist identifies, selects, documents, and catalogs repair parts and support equipment for complex naval systems. This role converts engineering information into accurate logistics data, ensuring the Navy has properly documented and available components to support long-term operation, maintenance, procurement, and fleet sustainment.

The specialist will support systems including the AN/WSN-7, AN/WSN-12, and AN/WSN-9 DHYSL by developing and maintaining accurate Allowance Parts Lists and related provisioning documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Provisioning Technical Documentation, including Engineering Data for Provisioning and Supplemental Data for Provisioning.
• Use Navy provisioning systems, including ICAPS or comparable databases, to create and update Allowance Parts Lists and Allowance Equipage Lists.
• Review technical drawings, parts lists, and Technical Data Packages to identify required spare parts, repair components, and support equipment.
• Determine appropriate spare part quantities and support requirements for shipboard and shore-based maintenance.
• Assign Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability codes based on engineering specifications, maintenance concepts, and applicable logistics guidance.
• Lead and support Provisioning Preparation Reviews and formal Provisioning Conferences with Navy stakeholders and NAVSEA representatives.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure new hardware designs and Engineering Change Proposals include the required logistics data and replacement-part information.
• Maintain accurate provisioning records and supporting documentation throughout the system life cycle.
• Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Provisioning Specialist I, II, and III: Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, logistics, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Provisioning Specialist IV: A master’s degree and Logistics DAWIA Level III certification, or equivalent professional training and experience, are preferred.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

• Expert-level proficiency with ICAPS or a comparable Navy logistics database.
• Thorough understanding of Navy provisioning processes and the development of Allowance Parts Lists and Allowance Equipage Lists.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, parts lists, and Technical Data Packages.
• Knowledge of NAVSEA and NAVSUP logistics policies and Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability coding.
• Strong analytical, organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Ability to translate engineering information into clear, accurate logistics documentation.

Experience

• Provisioning Specialist I: 0 to 3 years of experience in Department of Defense provisioning, Navy logistics, or supply-chain support for complex electronic systems.
• Provisioning Specialist II: 3 to 6 years of experience in the same or a related discipline.
• Provisioning Specialist III: 6 to 10 years of experience in the same or a related discipline.
• Provisioning Specialist IV: More than 10 years of experience in the same or a related discipline.

Five years of direct provisioning experience in the defense industry or maritime sector is preferred.

Employment Requirements

Candidates must be U.S. citizens and must possess or be eligible to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work is performed primarily in an office and computer-laboratory environment. The position requires extended periods of sitting, standing, keyboard and mouse use, and viewing computer screens. Occasional lifting of items weighing less than 40 pounds may be required. Employees may move between workstations within the same office or between buildings. Work is generally performed under consistent environmental conditions, with occasional variations in temperature and lighting.
